Crisis Core Fan-Fiction Pro. by ~ZackFair1219:iconZackFair1219:

Prologue:

Late at night, Shinra's metroplex Midgar quietly slumbers as the mako reactors surrounding the city spew wonderous mako from thier peeks. All seems quiet and peacful, until a train runs through a train stop going way to fast!
A Shinra helicopter arrives on the scene, persuing the out of control helicopter.  "Wutai troops have hijacked Shinra Express MK93 II. The train is currently headed to Midgar Sector 8. a SOLDIER operative will be inserted to neutralize the situation." said a man over the radio of the helicopter.
A young man about the age of 16 with dark hair spiked in the back and two bangs hanging down the side of his face waits on the helicopter for the radio to call his cue. He was dressed with a dark purple cotton uniform, with similar pants down to his ankles. He had black boots and gloves, along with two black shoulder gaurds. Two belts hung under those gaurds, clipped onto the SOLDIER belt at his waste. Below the massive belt were yet two more belts around his dark purple pants. His strength showed off by his muscles and his sword on his back. His glowing blue eyes with the SOLDIER signature of infused mako gleamed with excitement and anxiety.
"We are to proceed as scheduled." The intercom continued to bark, "Commence mission in 3 2 1 mark. Begin mission. Operative is ready for insertion." The young man stood up as the countdown finished, and stood halfway out the door of the helecopter ready to dive into the scene. Before he could do so, however, a more stern voice followed the intercom and gave his own instructions.
"The train has been overrun by Wutai troops. Elimintate them and regain control of the train."
The young SOLDIER looked him in the eye and gave him a quick remark with his index and middle finger to his head. "Oh, yeah!" And with that, he leaped down from the helicopter onto the ever rushing train.
"Get serious!" The stern voice from before called.
The young man landed on the train with a grunt, the sound of metal having made contact with his boots rang in his ears. He looked up and stood tall on the rushing train, the speed of the wind rushing through his hair. A smile came on his face stretching from ear to ear.
"Zack!" The same voice from before called to him. Zack turned around as the man that the voice belonged to landed on the train. The man was dressed similarly to Zack, except his cotton outerware was black instead of dark purple. He was apparently a higher rank in SOLDIER to be instructing Zack. His hair was short, black and straight. Two small bangs drooped near his face. He seemed to be wise enough to be Zack's mentor of somewhat. "Zack, focus." He said, with a serious tone in his voice. Zack gave him a look, thinking that the man was not giving him enough credit and anxious to get on with the current mission at hand. "There are no Shinra troops on this train. Understood?"
Zack's face enlightened, as he nodded, understanding his words. He clutched his gloved fists together and chuckled as he raced across the train, jumping between cars, and ducking under support beams. His mentor stayed and watched his student fulfil his duties, as the helicopter stayed hovering over the train. After he jumped the second car, Zack lost his balance as on coming gunfire trickled in his direction. He fell foward and caught himself on the train. A bullet nearly hit his hand, but he managed to move it just in time.
"Hello to you, too!" Zack called to his attacker. He got back up and continued his mission. Men in army uniforms came climbing up the side of the train. Their clothes consisted of blue shirts and pants. White shoulder gaurds and knee pads protected them. They had the same belts across their shoulders like Zack, and a belt around their wastes that held night sticks, rifles and gernades. They had helmets on their heads with three red wholes above the place where it shadowed their eyes. "Come and get it!" Zack said, grabbing his sword from the magnet on his back, continuing to charge at them.
The army of men unleashed round after round of bullet fire from their rifles. Zack skillfully blocked every bullet while cutting down the masked men at the same time. The smile left his victorious face with the appearance of more enemies. He sliced a few down and jumped over the majority of the group and brought down his sword on the back of the squad.
He continued on with his heart beating with adrenaline, running as fast as he could. He came upon yet another group of soldiers. But this time, they held rocket launchers instead of rifles, aimed straight at him. Zack growled at his predicament. He noticed a tunnel above his head, where he would be protected from the blasts. They fired thier rockets at him, Zack braced his leg muscles and jumped so far he seemed like he could fly. The soldiers looked up at him in amazement, Zack's smile came back speading ear to ear. He crashed through the other end of the tunnel, adressing himself victoriously, "SOLDIER 2nd Class Zack, on the job!"
He came down upon the train, pushing his sword through the pick that kept the cars of the train connected. He jumped on top of the train that was connected to the conductor, he swung his sword in victory and put it back on the magnet on his back.
The helicopter radio came back on and flew off, "Train MK93 II re-routed to Sector 1 Station near mako reactor 1. Procedd to mission Phase 2 and change survellance rank..." The train came to a stop at the station as Zack cooly jumped off the conductor car and walked toward the exit of the platform.
Zack stopped and looked around, wondering where to go next. His phone rang a high pitched sound. He removed it from his back pocket and answered.
   "Zack speaking."
"Making progress, Zack?" said the dark haired man from before over the phone.
"What's going on, Angeal?" Zack asked, "Why are we fighting Shinra troops?"
"They're Wutai troops in disguise. Now, head to the open area above."
"Toward Sector 8?" Zack asked turning his head to the exit of the platform.
"Yes. but first, you have to clear a path."
"Clear a path?" As Zack said these words, about 12 Wutai troops disguised as Shinra troops, filled the platform from the exit he had just looked at.
"You'll see what I mean. Be careful." Angeal advised.
"So I can cut loose, right?" Zack said, ready to jump into action as the rifle bullets flew past him.
"Use some discresion." Angeal said, before Zack hung up his phone and put it back in his back pocket.
"Its showtime!" Zack said, taking his sword in hand.
Zack skillfully defeated the soldiers attacking him, using his unique swordsman skills and powerful materia to cast spells one after the other. Yet, the lowly enemies didn't quite impress Zack and his trained skills.
"Not too bad." Angeal said, sounding partially impressed over the phone.
"Piece of cake! I'll make 1st in no time!" Zack replied, sounding full of himself.
"Go up the stairs at the end of the platform." Angeal commanded. Zack walked a bit toward the stairs the Wutai attackers came from.
"You got it." Zack acknowledged as he hung up and headed for the stairs.
As he climbed the stairs, he saw men and women running from something down the flights of stairs paniced. He raced past them up the stairs and took a turn into a lamp lightened neighborhood. Soon as he came to an open area of the houses, he encountered a large black beast with a read mane and hideous glowing yellow eyes! It seemed to look like a large canine-like creature with a spiked tail and huge sharp claws. A monster that Zack knew as a Behemoth.
The creature roared and snarled at Zack, daring him to oppose it. But Zack's job as a SOLDIER was to fight, and protect the people of Midgar. And plus, Zack just wanted to beat something up. He stared the creature in the bright yellow eyes and took his sword in hand once again.
The Behemoth swiped it's massive paws at Zack, but he was nimble enough to dodge and evade the attacks! Using his Thunder and Fire based materias that he had with him, he wore down the monster from a distance, and continued to evade its attacks as it heaved it's bulky body at him. Zack finished the battle with a strong slash of his sword behind the beast, just as the creature readied to swing its club tail at him. The creature fell to the ground defeated with a roar, as Zack victoriously twirled his sword and placed it back in it's place.
But the celebration didn't last very long. Zack had dropped his gaurd, and someone caught Zack from behind! A thin blade was held against Zack's left side of his neck, surprising him. He held up his hands to show he was not armed to his attacker.
"Showing your back to the enemy..." The voice from behind him mocked, "Overconfidence will destroy you."
Zack sighed, knowing that he was in a bad situation. He turned to face the person, as the unknown attacker held his sword to Zack's chest.
Zack looked up to see who had him pinned, and a gasp escaped his mouth. Before him stood a tall man with long silver hair lenghened down most of his back, dressed in a black jacket with two straps crossing over his bare chest, below them a belt beneath the jacket just like Zack's signature SOLDIER belt, along with long sleeves and silver cufflinks on his wrists. Metal shoulder gaurds covered his shoulders, and green slitted eyes stared Zack down. The one person that Zack had always dreamed of meeting, his hero and idol, Sephiroth! But not with his famous Masamune sword held to his heart!
"W-What is this?" Zack asked, not believing what was occuring. Sephiroth chuckled and struck! Zack turn with his sword still on his back, nearly managed to deflect the attack. Sephiroth relentessly attacked Zack with his sword again and again, Zack just barely able to defend himself with each block with his sword. Sephiroth held down Zack's sword with his own, Zack shaking under Sephiroth's unbelievable strength. "Damit! You're not the only hero!" Zack growled bareing his teeth at his idol.
"Its over." Sephiroth replied, smiling at the simplicity of the battle.
Zack stuggled to free his sword, but Sephiroth struck first, knocking Zack down on his back, and his sword split in two flying across the street.
Elsewhere, Angeal learns of the brutal beating Zack is now taking by Sephiroth. "Impossible!" He stands up, and hangs up the phone and immediatly breaks into a run to save Zack before its too late!
Sephiroth stands above Zack holding his sword to his chest again, ready to stab the poor defensless SOLDIER 2nd Class. Zack is still dazed by the attack that knocked him down, unable to stand, let alone see straight. Sephiroth readies his sword and strikes! Zack lets out a yell.
Zack opens his eyes, half expecting to be dead. But he finds that Angeal was crouched over him, holding Sephiroth's sword in place with Zack's own broken sword. Zack lets out a heavy sigh as the scene calls down and he sits up. "Thanks, Angeal." Zack thanked him.
Angeal stood up and turned his head to Sephiroth. He took out his phone and clicked to approve the abort training action. He closed his phone as the scene melted away into data along with Sephiroth. The room they were now in was round with glass panels on the floor for virtual training exercises. Glass windows on the side of the room allowed for spectators to watch safely and set up training exercises. Zack was still sitting down, with strange goggles over his eyes, recording Zack's progress and improvement in his training.
Angeal turned to Zack as the virtual Sephiroth finished dissipating into data. "Training's over."
"Wha-? Why?" Zack stuttered angrily at Angeal as he hasitly yet clumsily stood up to face him. His goggles identifying Angeal as a SOLDIER 1st Class as Angeal held up Zack's broken sword in his face. Zack gasped and stepped back a step. "You serious? I was just getting warmed up!" He insisted removing the eyewear from his face and tossing them on the ground beside him.
Angeal simply smiled and flipped the sword around in his hand, holding the hilt out to Zack. Zack took the sword in his hand and stared at the broken steel in disappointment as he sighed.
"Zack." Angeal said as she walked past Zack, walking toward the exit of the Training Room. "Embrace your dreams."
Zack stared at Angeal with a perplexed look on his face."Huh?"
Angeal stopped at the door and finished his sentence of wisdom. "If you want to be a hero, you need to have dreams...and honor." He finished as he turned his head to Zack, and finally left. Leaving Zack standing in the middle of the dark room, scratching the back of his dark spikey hair to think of Angeal's wise words.
Inside of the room beside the interior of the Training Room, a young girl that look very similar to Sephiroth, about the age of 7, crossing her arms wearing an atire again similar to Sephiroth's with just a small v-neck instead of an open chest, look on at Zack and chuckled slightly. "He dreams of becoming a hero? Humph! We'll see about that..." She turned and left the room without another word.

Author's Comments

The Prologue of my Crisis Core Fan-Fiction!!!! Yes, that's right, I'm finally starting it!!! And yes Faith is in this one too. The story will be extended for adding Faith and Rika into the story. And I'm sorry for Sephiroth fans who think he should be mean, but he's a little fatherly in this story to fit Faith's needs.

All characters and places in this story are copywrite of Square-Enix!! Only Faith and Rika belong to me (Rika PARTIALLY belongs to me, my friend RikaAnime created her)

This part of the story is in 3rd person just to get the story going. Everything else will be in 1st person switching between Zack's, Faith's, Sephiroth's, Cloud's and Genesis's Point of View.

WARNING: IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED CRISIS CORE, THIS IS EITHER YOUR CHANCE TO RUIN THE ENGLISH VERSION, THE WHOLE STORY AND EVERY SINGLE LITTLE THING IN THE GAME!!!! OR A GOOD CHANCE TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU CAN'T AFFORD A PSP.

Please enjoy!

cool! just like i pictured it when i playd the game at the tennis court!! lol awesome! but you made faith to be a little mean....but either way nice!!!!
:iconzackfair1219:
She's supposed to be mean. She's a first class SOLDIER, and she watched Zack the whole time, being ignorant and loosing his focus, so she thinks that he doesn't have what it takes to be a hero or 1st Class, because she shares his dream. She's right now, rivaling his dream because she thinks she'll be a hero. She will change her mind when Zack goes to Banora. You'll see.
